Four Saturdays Away...
You can almost hear it already.
Across Jupiter, garages are turning into boatyards. Plywood is disappearing. PVC pipe is getting a second life. Somewhere, someone has already convinced their friends that yes... a floating tiki bar made from pool noodles is absolutely seaworthy.
The sound of skill saws is back.
And that can only mean one thing.
Whatever Floats Your Boat is just four Saturdays away.
On Saturday, September 5th at 11:30 AM, one of Jupiter's favorite waterfront traditions returns to Guanabanas, bringing together homemade boats, paddleboards, inflatable flamingos, floating couches, questionable engineering decisions, and a whole lot of laughter.
If last year taught us anything, it's this:
Creativity usually floats...
Eventually.
What Is Whatever Floats Your Boat?
Whatever Floats Your Boat isn't a race.
It isn't about speed.
It isn't about having the nicest paddleboard.
It's about showing up with something creative, something hilarious, or something that simply shouldn't be floating... yet somehow is.
Some teams spend weeks building elaborate floating creations.
Others tape together barrels and PVC pipe the night before.
Some arrive dressed as pirates.
Others become floating islands, pirate ships, tiki bars, fishing boats, or creatures straight out of someone's imagination.
Every entry tells a different story, and every year brings something nobody saw coming.
Not Building a Boat? Come Anyway.
You don't need to build anything to join the fun.
Grab:
- Your paddleboard
- Your kayak
- Your favorite pool float
- A giant inflatable unicorn
- Water wings
- Anything that floats (safely)
Then paddle out and enjoy the spectacle from the water.
Or, if staying dry sounds more appealing, settle in at Guanabanas, one of the best waterfront seats in Jupiter. Grab lunch, enjoy a cold drink, and watch the floating parade unfold right from the dock.
Whether you're on the water or cheering from shore, you'll have a front-row seat to one of the funniest afternoons of the year.
A Community Tradition
Events like this are what make Jupiter special.
Neighbors become teammates.
Complete strangers cheer for boats that look like they were engineered during a backyard barbecue.
Kids laugh.
Parents laugh even harder.
Visitors quickly realize they've stumbled into something uniquely local.
For a few hours, nobody is worried about work, emails, or schedules.
They're just outside, enjoying the water together.
That's exactly what Blueline Surf & Paddle is all about.
Four Weeks to Build Something Legendary
With four Saturdays remaining, now's the time to gather the crew and start sketching ideas.
Need inspiration?
Maybe it's:
- A floating tiki hut
- A pirate ship
- A giant fish
- A surf shack
- A floating beach chair
- A miniature lighthouse
- A homemade catamaran
- Something so ridiculous it simply has to work
Some of the best entries aren't the most polished.
They're simply the ones that make everyone smile.

Why We Love This Event
At Blueline, we spend a lot of time talking about performance paddling, fishing, surfing, and exploring the waterways around Jupiter.
This event reminds us that getting on the water doesn't always have to be serious.
Sometimes it's about laughter.
Sometimes it's about seeing if a homemade boat actually makes it twenty feet.
Sometimes it's simply about spending an afternoon with friends.
And sometimes...
Whatever floats your boat.
Think you've got the next legendary floating creation?
Start building now.
If you're not building, grab your paddleboard, your favorite float, or a seat at Guanabanas and come join us.
We'll be there cheering every team on.
See you September 5th.
