FAQs – Frequently Asked Questions About Rentals

Do I need a reservation to paddle?

  • A reservation is the best way to guarantee that we will be able to accommodate you. We do accept walk-ins when equipment is available, but a reservation is recommended for weekends and larger parties.

Is there an age requirement for paddleboarding?

  • To paddle, someone 18+ years old must be out on the water with each group. We do not have an age limit on who can paddle the boards, but it is recommended that children under the age of 12 ride with an adult.

What do I need to bring to paddle?

  • We recommend that you bring a reusable water bottle, sunscreen, a hat / sunglasses, and a towel. Our boards have straps to tie down items but we do not recommend bringing anything that is not waterproof (e.g. phone, car keys, wallet)

Do you have lockers?

  • There are no lockers available for rentals at Blueline, only cubbies for towels or shoes are on the dock. During your rental, we are happy to hold your car keys behind the register with employees. Anything valuable should be locked in the car.

Do you offer lessons?

  • We offer SUP 101(Intro to Paddle boarding Lessons) 7 days a week! Lessons MUST be booked at least 24 hours in advance so that we can schedule an instructor for you.

Do you offer off-site paddle board rentals?

  • We do offer off-site rentals but you must have a way to transport equipment on your own with roof racks and tie-down straps. ** Paddle Boards do not fit inside most cars including larger SUVs.**

What time is best for paddling?

  • We recommend paddling in the earlier hours of the day to avoid the high-temperatures and late afternoon thunderstorms. The first available time to rent is 9:00 AM and the last time is 4:00 PM.

Are there alligators in the water?

  • Where we paddle is located in brackish water, which is not a suitable environment for alligators to live. Therefore, you will NOT encounter one on your paddle.
