There are days on the water, and then there is Whatever Floats Your Boat. An amphibious Cyber Truck, a firefighter-powered floating playground, a couple of clowns, a bunch of Couch Potatoes, mermaids, pirates, the Coast Guard and a few hundred others took over the water at Guanabanas. Some came to float, some to race and some to watch, but everyone left with a story they won’t stop talking about.
Whatever Floats Your Boat 2026 was an absolute blast.
Hosted by Blueline Surf & Paddle Co. at Guanabanas in Jupiter, Florida, the event brought together everything we love about this community, creativity, friendly competition, a sense of humor and plenty of people ready for an excuse to get on the water.
By the time the crafts lined up, the table at Guanabanas were filled, the docks were packed and the surrounding waterways were loaded with people, dogs and even raccoons bobbing on the water in their favorite float.
Some even say, the crowd was in the hundreds. Some people came to race. Some came to cheer. Others found a spot along the dock to take in one of the most entertaining afternoons Jupiter has seen all year.
Part Paddle Race, Part Floating Costume Party
The best part of Whatever Floats Your Boat is that there is no single right way to do it.
Teams arrived with homemade crafts, coordinated costumes and ideas that ranged from surprisingly fast to absolutely ridiculous. There were lawn chairs, pool floats, squirt guns, rum barrels, plywood, coolers and enough creative engineering to leave the smartest people questioning how they did that.
Crafts crowded around the short paddle course, 4 docks, about 100 feet long. Spectators lined the Guanabanas docks to cheer them home. There were splashes, close finishes, a little chaos and a lot of laughter, the exact combination that makes this event what it is.
Guanabanas provided the perfect setting, turning the waterfront into what felt like the most epic pool party in Jupiter. Our friends at SweetWater Brewing, Montauk Brewing and Vita Vodka helped keep the celebration refreshed while the action unfolded just beyond the docks.
The 2026 Winners
The event may be built around fun, but two honors carried serious bragging rights.
The sought-after and iconic Best in Show Trophy sponsored by Modern Juice, went to the Cyber Truck, whose team brought the creativity and presentation needed to win over the crowd and judges.
When it came time to find the fastest craft on the water, The Playground took the win. The Clowns made them earn it and were edged out after a strong showing in the race.
The Couch Potatoes, Rum Runners and Coast Guard were also among the crowd favorites, each bringing a theme and personality that helped make the day unforgettable. Every team that planned, built, decorated, dressed up and climbed aboard added something special to the event.
A Community Event in Every Sense
Whatever Floats Your Boat only works because people are willing to jump in, sometimes literally.
To every paddler who built a craft, every spectator who filled the docks, every friend who helped behind the scenes and every sponsor who supported the day, thank you. You created the energy everyone felt on the water.
