TNRL Week 2 St. Patrick's Day Edition Recap and Results | Jupiter's Weekly Paddle Race

TNRL Week 2 Recap and Results

Week 2 of the Tuesday Night Race League (TNRL) kicked off with a full-on dockside scene. DJ Schully had the music going, people gathering early, and by the time paddlers were heading out, the docks at Guanabanas felt more like a small waterfront party than a typical race start.

Even if you weren’t on the water, it was worth being there. Spectators lined the docks, music carried across the inlet, and paddlers came through the finish to a crowd instead of a quiet shoreline. That mix of racing and atmosphere is quickly becoming what defines Tuesday nights in Jupiter.

Week 2 of TNRL in Jupiter, Florida featured a fun and inclusive 1-mile paddle alongside competitive 3-mile and 4.6-mile races, with strong turnout and close finishes across multiple paddle disciplines.

1 Mile Fun Course

The 1-mile course remains the easiest way to get involved.

With over 15 paddlers on the water this week, it continues to draw a mix of newer paddlers, families, and those just looking to get a quick workout in. With DJ Schully on the dock and a steady flow of paddlers coming through, it keeps things simple and approachable.

There’s no pressure here. Just a short course, a fun paddle, and a chance to be part of the night.

We love seeing new paddlers joining us each week. This course is usually completed in 20–30 minutes, leaving the perfect amount of time to watch other paddlers finish and enjoy the dockside scene.

3 Mile Race

The 3-mile course is the perfect distance for those who may not want to go the full 4.6, and for those who want more than the 1 miler. This course always has a solid group of paddlers, some pushing the pace and others experiencing a longer course for the first time.

The times are typically between 40 minutes and 1 hour, making it a great balance of effort and accessibility.

4.6 Mile Race

This course is one we have been running for over 13 years. It is an out-and-back paddle that can include wind, current, and boat wake, making each week a little different.

Some of the best paddlers in the world take on this course, while others use it as a way to get a strong workout on the water. It typically takes around an hour and is a fun challenge for those with some paddling experience.

More Than a Race

One of the biggest takeaways from Week 2 is how far people are willing to travel to be part of it.

We had paddlers coming from different parts of Florida, along with others visiting from out of state, all showing up for a Tuesday night race in Jupiter. That says a lot about what TNRL has become and the support from the paddling community.

It’s not just about results. It’s about having a place to paddle hard, get a workout in, and connect with others on the water.

Looking Ahead to Week 3

Week 3 keeps the same format:

  • 1 Mile Fun Course

  • 3 Mile Course

  • 4.6 Mile Course

  • $10 entry

  • $20 with a rental

DJ Schully will be back on the dock, and the goal stays the same, get on the water, put in the effort, and be part of it.

If you’ve been thinking about coming out, the 1-mile course is still the easiest way to start. From there, you can build into the longer distances at your own pace or stay there, it is up to you.
